Mashable’s Michael Stansley Band will soon be releasing a new single, “Caught in a Trap,” and we’ve got the first glimpse at it in the video below.
The video for the single, which was released last week, takes place in an unnamed country town and features some of Stanleys signature vocal harmonies and guitar riffs.
It also features a snippet of “Catch Me If You Can” by Muddy Waters.
“Catching in a trap,” as the video’s title suggests, is a phrase that’s often used to describe situations where one is trapped in a situation and must find a way out, but is usually avoided because of their perceived lack of strength.
The song features an acoustic guitar riff that starts off in the background before leading into a drum loop that’s accompanied by a vocal melody that sounds like a cross between the vocals of T-Pain and Big Boi.
You can watch the video above.
Mashable’s interview with Stanley will be published next week.
You’ll also be able to find out more about the band through their website, as well as via a “Catches A Thief” T-shirt that the band is releasing on their website.
