By By The Wall St. Journal / Dec 10, 2017 03:19:05As it happened: Band Perry is back to play a sold out show in Portland, Ore., on Saturday night.
Perry and his band, which was formed in 2015 by two students in Portland and released a new album in February, are in the midst of a nationwide tour that began with an opening night performance at the New York City Rose Bowl on Feb. 9.
On Friday, the band released the band’s third album, ‘The New World,’ in the United States, and Perry is set to release the follow-up, ‘Perryworld,’ in Canada in early December.
Perry, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in June, has been vocal about the dangers of his disease, and his family has launched a petition to help raise funds for the Perry family’s medical expenses.
He has also been a vocal supporter of the Stop Harming Your Family campaign.
As Perry and the band perform in Portland on Saturday, they will play the U.S. Coast Guard Memorial Amphitheatre in Seattle, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Memorial Stadium in Gainesville, Fla., and the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, N.Y.
Tickets for the concert, which starts at 8 p.m. local time, are available on Ticketmaster.
The band will also be playing in other cities.
